Jawaad Abdul Rahman is the Director of Development and Executive Producer at Unity Productions Foundation, having worked on numerous award-winning UPF films including The Great Muslim American Road Trip, the Emmy-Nominated Sultan and the Saint, and the animated film Lamya's Poem among many others. Through UPF’s public engagement efforts, he’s facilitated hundreds of film screening and interfaith dialogue events in churches, mosques, universities and museums nationwide.
As Development Director he works to advance UPF's growth and diversify its funding sources in collaboration with the philanthropic community.
Through UPF’s efforts to improve the cultural competence of creatives in Hollywood, he has advised screenwriters on popular scripted-series including Transplant, Madam Secretary, Grey's Anatomy and more. Before UPF he founded The American Muslims Unite for Life Campaign which registered thousands of American Muslims to donate their bone marrow as a possible cure for blood cancers to their fellow Americans of all faiths and backgrounds.
